EAST MEATH UNITED 2 BOHS U-12s 4

Bohemians’ Under-12s fought their way to an inspired victory this morning after going two goals down in the first half away to East Meath United.

Captain and man of the match, Noah Sinnott and goal scoring maestro Lee O’Donoghue formed an impressive link, scoring two goals each while also both playing a vital role in assisting the other man’s goals.

Bohs started the match with some unfortunate sloppy defending, essentially gifting the home side a two goal lead on home soil.

However, Sinnott assisted O’Donoghue for a well taken goal and this gave the team some spirit and confidence, driving them on in their search for an impressive away victory.

Lee O’Donoghue returned the favour soon after, setting Noah Sinnott up and Sinnott’s goal evened the score. O’Donoghue grabbed the third goal before once again setting Sinnott up for the fourth.

Manager Glen Casey was quick to point out that goalkeeper Cathal Byrne was very solid on the day, commanding his defence well and ensuring that they weren’t holding the ball back in their own half.

The team’s work on their possession game on the training ground is starting to pay off, and this cohesion played a vital role in the team taking control of the game and finishing 4-2 winners.
