Bohemian FC would like to invite applicants for the role of Physio. Bohemian FC are one of Ireland’s leading football clubs.

Bohemian youths have a history of producing exceptional players, including Stephen Ward, Paddy Madden and Roberto Lopes.

The youth teams are based in St. Joseph’s School for the Deaf on the Navan Road, Dublin 7; Albert College on the Ballymun Road, Dublin 9; as well as Dalymount Park in Phibsboro, Dublin 7.

Due to the specialised nature of the position, individuals who are qualified, or are currently undertaking a Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy or a related or equivalent field may apply.


Bohemian FC are fully committed to staff members continued up-skilling and education by providing practical experience within a soccer specific population, and working with a team of experienced and qualified staff using the most up-to-date technology and sports science methodology.

This is a fantastic opportunity for undergraduate students to work with a highly respected league of Ireland club with a proactive youth management.

This position will be on a volunteer basis (approx. 6-8 hours per week depending on ability, this will increase some weeks depending on the job’s schedule).

Successful applicants will join the existing youth section team, working closely with the Head of Performance Enhancement, Team Coaches, and the Youth Development Officer.

The applicant should possess:

• Examining and diagnosing injuries
• Planning treatment programmes
• Using methods such as manipulation, massage, heat treatment, electrotherapy and hydrotherapy
• Keeping records of player’s treatment and progress
• To work calmly under pressure
• To be able to make judgements confidently
• To give injury timescales
