Bohemian manager Keith Long has signed former Drogheda United captain Derek Prendergast and ex-Bradford City midfielder James O’Brien as he puts the finishing touches on his squad for 2015.
The duo join up with the Gypsies having played under Long for Athlone Town last season.
Defender Prendergast, 30, began his League of Ireland career with Bray Wanderers before spending two years with Drogheda United under Mick Cooke.
Long said: “Derek brings experience and he’s a very good defender. He captained Drogheda to the League Cup two years ago and was one of the key men in the Drogs team that finished league runners-up that season.

“I know from having working with him last year that he’s a real leader in the dressing room.”
A former Ireland Under-19 international and Birmingham City youth, 24-year-old O’Brien will be familiar to Dalymount Park regulars.
Long said: “Bohs fans should know James already – he scored twice against Bohs at Dalymount last season!
“James has a good pedigree and has played 25 games at League 2 – a decent level – for Bradford before.
“When he came home, he couldn’t really break in to a good St Pat’s team but he showed his ability when he was with Longford and Athlone.
“He scored six goals from midfield last year and we think he can improve on that here.”
