Bohemian FC is teaming up with The Ray Foley Breakfast Show on 98FM to present the Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience at Dalymount Park on Saturday 26th July in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital, writes BRIAN TRENCH.

Over 2,500 fans are expected at the show, headlined by Friends in Low Places – the Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience, led by Trevor Smith. Trevor has been recognised as the leading Garth Brooks lookalike and soundalike in the country and has developed an exciting production around an eight-piece band.

The band was approached by several big event organisers since the controversial cancellation of the Croke Park concerts and turned them all down in favour of working with 98FM and Bohemian FC, raising funds for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

Bohemians play Cork City at Dalymount on Friday evening, 25th July, and construction of the stage will start immediately after that game.

Dalymount Park was a major music venue from the 1970s to the 1990s, hosting concerts by acts such as Thin Lizzy, Bob Marley, Status Quo, Black Sabbath, Meat Loaf, The Specials and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
