The first matchday programme of the new season rolled off the presses yesterday.
Incorporating a new wraparound cover design as well as the addition of some new columnists, it’s set to be even better than ever.
SO, WHAT’S NEW?
Well, what’s been one of the main talking points so far this year? The new jerseys. The fan-selected home garb and the, ahem, ‘controversial’ away jersey have made the 2014 kit the most talked about in recent history.
Keith Murphy will take a look back at our most famous – and infamous – strips of the past 20+ years and give us the lowdown on how they were received at the time and, crucially, how they are viewed with the benefit of hindsight. First up: The infamous ‘seagull’ shirt!
Adam Kelly pens a welcome form piece – reviewing and previewing Bohs matches as the season progresses and pointing out who – and what – to watch out for in the opposition.
Kevin Fagan’s Cult Heroes, which has already received an airing on the official website, appears in the programme too and Aidan Fitzmaurice gives us a general overview on the league as a whole.
Tony Magner talks to Owen Heary on his expectations for the season and what it’s like to finally have gotten under way on the Pro Licence course.
Our beloved Ned Simpson waxes lyrical as usual and Declan Coughlan returns with his popular FanZone piece.
The programme will of course evolve once again as the year progresses and opinions, comments and indeed contributions are most welcome – contact us at programme@bohemians.ie.
