Bohemians are delighted to announce a very special occasion in honour of club captain and assistant manager Owen Heary, who is calling time on a glittering 20-year playing career at the end of this season.
On Sunday November 17th (3pm), a Bohemians XI will play a Shelbourne XI in a tribute match for Heary, who played nine years at Shels before joining Bohs in January 2007.
Over the course of his time at both clubs, Owen has won seven league titles (a joint record he shares with Johnny Matthews), the FAI Cup twice as well as both the Setanta Sports Cup and EA Sports Cup.
Notable names are being lined up to play for, and to coach, the two teams in this tribute match. More details will be announced later. In the meantime, put this date in your diary.
