Bohemian FC is proud to announce that the club has signed a partnership agreement with Baltimore Bohemians of the Premier Development League in the United States.

The partnership will allow for an exchange of talent between the two teams. Exceptional players from both clubs will have the opportunity to go on trial at the opposite team, providing them with an opportunity to gain recognition on either side of the Atlantic.

The coaching staffs of the two clubs will also cooperate to identify outstanding talent who may flourish in either the League of Ireland or the Premier Development League.

The two clubs will provide exposure for one another, including sale of merchandise, in their respective markets. They are also considering a friendly between the two sides.

“This link-up with Baltimore Bohs, like our recently announced partnership with the North Dublin Schoolboys’ League, opens up exciting development opportunities for players,” said Bohemian FC president Matt Devaney. “We aim to offer various avenues through junior ranks into senior football.

“We look forward to fruitful relations with the directors, players and supporters of Baltimore Bohemians.”

The Baltimore Bohemians compete in the Premier Development League, which serves as the starting ground for a majority of professionals in the US. Baltimore also participates in the US Open Cup, a 100-year-old competition similar to the FAI Cup.

The club was founded in 2011 by the Angelos family, owners of Major League Baseball’s Baltimore Orioles, and the Tirabassi family. The club’s crest features a tribute to the Dublin Bohs’ famous black and red stripes.

The first team is comprised of the best young talent in the Baltimore area, traditionally a hotbed for football in the US. After the club’s first season, two of the Bohs’ players signed professional contracts with Major League Soccer (MLS) and North American Soccer League (NASL) sides.
