Bohemian FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Ireland U19 international Aoibhe Fleming from Shamrock Rovers.
A product of the Peamount Academy where she won the U19 league title, Fleming can play in defence or midfield, and spent the second half of last season impressing on loan at Treaty United.
Fleming said: “I am delighted to be signing for Bohs today. It is a very prestigious club and I am hoping I can bring something to the team this year.
“I think the experience from the international teams has given me skills in how to deal with high pressure situations. I am going to experience that in the league this year with Bohs, and hopefully I can be successful and will be able to help in any way I can.
“Ken Kiernan is a great communicator from my first impressions of him, and has set out his goals for the season. He wants to promote an environment where we play good football, and to be successful when doing that.
“There is a great crew here. Everybody has been very welcoming and very encouraging, and I am excited to get working with them this season.”
Manager Ken Kiernan said: “Aoibhe can play as a centre back or centre midfield and is an extremely versatile player with an excellent game understanding. Dynamic and forward thinking, she possesses a calmness beyond her years
“Another highly technical player who is brilliant at breaking lines with a range of pass or by dribbling, she is excellent at sensing danger and winning back the ball.
“Aoibhe is highly ambitious and we look forward to working with her this season.”
