Bohemian FC is delighted to confirm the signing of talented young midfielder Aoibhe Brennan from Shelbourne.
An Ireland U17 international from Clonee, the 16-year-old previously played under Bohs manager Ken Kiernan with Shelbourne’s academy, and she comes to Dalymount Park having helped the Shels U17s to successive league and cup doubles.
Brennan said: “It is a big privilege to sign for Bohs at my age. It’s a new challenge for me, and hopefully I can take the opportunity with both hands.
“Ken is a brilliant coach, has high standards and high ambitions for this season. I’ve met a few of the girls today, they have all been really welcoming, and I am really looking forward to getting started.”
Manager Kiernan said: “Aoibhe is a highly technical player with a brilliant range of passing.
“She is excellent from a dead-ball situation and scored 20 goals from centre midfield this season.
“She is a versatile central midfielder with brilliant football intelligence. She is one of the best young players in the country, and I can’t wait to see the impact she will have on the team.”
