Bohemian FC can confirm that striker Jonathan Afolabi has today joined Belgian club KV Kortrijk for an undisclosed fee.
Afolabi’s form this year saw him named the SWI/SSE Airtricity Player of the Month for July and nominated for the PFA Ireland Player of the Year Award.
The 23-year-old’s contract was due to expire at the end of the 2024 season, and everyone at Bohemians wishes Jonathan the very best of luck with his move and future career.
Addressing Bohs fans, Afolabi said: “It has been a pleasure and an honour to play for Bohs the last year and a half.
“I’d like to thank the coaching staff, my teammates and all the fans for making my time here very enjoyable. I’ll be moving on with a lot of good memories and moments in my career that have helped me improve.
“Lastly, I would like to wish the club all the best going forward. I will be supporting the lads from afar. Up the Bohs.”
