Everyone at Dalymount Park is devastated to learn of the passing this week of one of our longest serving supporters and members, Frank O’Sullivan, at the fine age of 94.
Frank supported the club for his whole life and was a notable, passionate, well-regarded and entertaining contributor to club AGMs for many years; his absence from them and our games in recent seasons was felt and commented upon by many.
Frank was a one-off who lived in nearby Shandon Park since 1930. He lived alone and was, alas, the last surviving member of his family. He left his mark though, and his neighbours have shared with us how much they are going to miss him.
His hearse will pass his house in Shandon Park at 10.20am tomorrow (Friday) for those who want to pay their respects while adhering to social distancing, prior to his funeral mass at St Peter’s.
May he rest in peace.
