Bohemian FC is delighted to announce that a free online live audio described commentary service will be available for the remainder of our home games this season.
The service will allow blind and visually impaired supporters to have an inclusive commentary that caters specific to their needs.
Bohemian FC is committed to making games at Dalymount Park accessible to all and while Covid-19 has made that impossible, we hope this service will allow more people to at least be able to continue to enjoy our games from the comfort of their own home.
This is the first of its kind and we hope that this service will give people with a visual impairment a greater sense of inclusiveness during these challenging times.
The move follows the successful pilot programme in partnership with NCBI that provides in-house audio described commentary at Dalymount Park for blind and visually impaired supporters, which is now on hold due to Covid-19 capacity restrictions.
Disability Access Officer James Flanagan said: “Although this is a service provided for our home fans, we would hope that visually impaired football fans from around Ireland and abroad, who may not support our club, would tune in and try out the service.
“We would like to thank the Iona Resource Centre and Sight and Sound Technology for assisting us with getting this initiative up and running.”
The live commentary link is posted on our social media channels on matchdays.
