Dear supporter,
A couple of important notes ahead of today’s game:
- For this game, the membership style is being suspended.
- Those seated in blocks A,B & C should enter from NCR into Dalymount Lane
- Those seated in blocks D,E,F & G should enter from St Peter’s Road into Dalymount Lane.
- Arrive early. No entry to Dalymount Lane after 1.45pm. Our bars open 11.30am.
- You must produce a membership card, a season ticket or match ticket.
- All of the above will be scanned.
- Barcodes are unique and can only scanned once. Any duplicates will be denied entry. No exceptions.
- Allow time for bag searches.
- Bags larger than a normal size backpack will not be allowed in.
We remain under scrutiny with regard to health and safety concerns.
We are a members-owned club. We have made a concerted effort to ensure that tickets to this game made their way into the hands of our regulars.
With that in mind, there is a collective responsibility on us all to ensure the safety of one another and that our actions do not invite further scrutiny or sanctions.
The area surrounding the away dressing room at the Block A/Jodi Stand Car Park end of the stand has been declared a sterile area until after the game and until all opposition players and officials have left the stadium.
This includes access to the Tramway End to hang flags. Supporters who wish their flags to be displayed at the Tramway End must bring them down to stewards at Block A no later than 12pm.
They will be hung up by two designated club volunteers and returned to you after the game by these same volunteers. There is otherwise no access to the terrace or to the car park area. This includes the Jameson Bar which is tonight closed to the public.
MAKE SPACE FOR ONE ANOTHER
More often that not when it appears the stand is full, there are actually scores of individual unoccupied seats across the stand.
Move up! And when it’s close to kick-off and it looks like the place is filling up, help fellow supporters find a vacant seat.
All our tickets have a unique barcode that will only scan once. If your ticket barcode shows up on our scanners as having already been scanned, we cannot allow you into the game.
Anyone who has received an e-ticket in lieu of their membership card/season ticket not being received has received e-tickets in good faith.
If it later transpires that you did receive your membership card/season ticket, we can track what has been scanned and if your card has been scanned in addition to the e-ticket sent out in its place, we will revoke the card .
OVERCROWDING/STANDING IN AISLES
The biggest concern remains the overcrowding in sections F&G and in particular people standing in the aisles, which could lead to serious crowd surges, crushes and injuries.
Standing in the aisles needs to stop. It is a major health and safety concern that is potentially catastrophic.
The Gardaí have instructed stewards to allow no standing in the steps/aisles and if it is considered that these blocks are full, no further supporters will be allowed into these areas.
We ask that our members and supporters cooperate with stewards and adhere to their instructions.
Our bars cannot accommodate everyone. Overcrowding in our bars and in the access routes under the stand have been identified by DFB as areas of major concern.
If our staff/volunteers indicate that our bars are full, please accept this. Matchdays are stressful enough for our staff/volunteers without unnecessary confrontations.
If you are only accessing underneath the stand to use the toilet, please consider using toilet facilities at either Block A (portaloos), by the merchandise store (portaloos) or those under Block G instead. Doing so will help alleviate the numbers under the stand.
DFB fear so many people congested in the one place and the regularity with which flares and smoke bombs are ignited that these combined pose a fire hazard.
DFB and the Gardai have insisted that no flags and banners can be hung at the back of the Jodi Stand behind block F&G.
Similarly, fan displays at the start of the game/when the team comes out, such as those done by the Notorious Boo-Boys, will have to take place in front of the stand, by the side of the pitch, and not in the stand itself.
The authorities have also insisted on increased searches on Dalymount Lane.
Any supporter found in possession of a flare or similar pyrotechnics will be refused access/denied entry to the ground and faces being banned by the board of management.
Anyone who used pyrotechnics in the ground also faces a large fine and potential prosecution.
In the event of a fire or other incident in the Jodi Stand all supporters should please move down the aisles and on to the pitch and follow the instructions of stewards and Gardaí.
In the event of a fire or other incident in the Des Kelly Stand, away supporters should exit through the appropriate gate, either into the adjacent car park, or via the Jodi Stand, and follow the instructions of stewards and Gardaí.
Missile have been thrown on to the pitch at derbies in recent seasons. This cannot continue or the Gardai and FAI will impose further sanctions on the club.
ALL drinks served in the bars tonight will be served in plastic glasses until after the game. Anyone caught throwing missiles will be ejected from the stadium and faces being banned from all further Bohemians games.
Similarly, anyone who encroaches on to the pitch will be ejected and could face prosecution.
Access to Dalymount Lane is under strict control and supervision of the Gardai.
Do not arrive to Dalymount Lane after 1.45pm:
- For this game, the membership style is being suspended.
- Those seated in blocks A,B & C should enter from NCR into Dalymount Lane
- Those seated in blocks D,E,F & G should enter from St Peter’s Road into Dalymount Lane.
We as a board are also supporters and are all volunteers and understand that some of the above may be unpalatable.
But collectively as a fan-owned club, a level of self-policing is required.
We have a duty of care to ensure the safety of all those who attend our games.
Please assist us by cooperating with our stewards with respect and by occupying areas of the Jodi Stand less crowded.
If we fail to meet the requirements laid down to us by the authorities and the FAI, we run the risk of further sanctions and costs we can ill-afford being imposed on us: increased number of stewards, reduced capacity, kick-off times being moved etc
Thank you for your support. We hope you enjoy the game. Get behind Keith and the lads, and let’s all collectively contribute to getting the result we are all hoping for.
The Board of Management
