BOHEMIANS v ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC SUPPORTER INFORMATION: JODI STAND ALL TICKET AND WILL SELL OUT

Jodi

The Jodi Stand for next week’s Dublin derby against St Patrick’s Athletic is on course to sell out early next week.

There will be no cash taken at the Jodi Stand turnstiles.

Non-members/non-season ticket holders must buy tickets in advance either online at tickets.bohemians.ie or direct from Dalymount park during office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).

The Jodi Stand is strictly for Bohs supporters only. St Pat’s fans will be in the Des Kelly Stand and they are also advised to purchase tickets in advance at tickets.bohemians.ie or directly from their club at Richmond Park.

All three of our home league games this season have seen the Jodi Stand sell out.

As we’ve communicated with supporters in recent times, sell-out crowds are what we aspire to as a club but they also present us with serious challenges, particularly due to the current reduced capacity of Dalymount Park and the Garda requirement to segregate away supporters from home supporters for most fixtures.

We are under pressure from An Garda Síochána and the Dublin Fire Brigade over legitimate concerns they have over health and safety.

We have implemented a number of measures for high-profile fixtures such as those v Shamrock Rovers.

Due to congestion and overcrowding fears that the Gardaí, DFB and the FAI have about Dalymount Lane, underneath the Jodi Stand and in certain aisles of the stand, these measures will continue for league fixtures for the foreseeable future.

We wish to acknowledge and thank the cooperation of our members and supporters who have shown great understanding in adhering to these measures. That is greatly appreciated by all staff and volunteers at the club.

OVERCROWDING/STANDING IN AISLES

The biggest concern is the overcrowding in sections F&G and in particular people standing in the aisles, which could lead to serious crowd surges, crushes and catastrophic injuries.

Improvements have been made this season and we sincerely thank fans for their cooperation but it needs to continue as it remains a serious concern that is under the spotlight.

Stewards will not allow standing in the steps/aisles and if it is considered that blocks are full, no further supporters will be allowed into these areas.

OVERCROWDING UNDER JODI STAND

No exit/entry to Phoenix Bar to/from toilets under Block G: Patrons in the Phoenix Bar must use the toilets located in between the Members’ Bar and Phoenix Bar and enter the Jodi Stand via the central vomitory at block D.

Please consider using toilet facilities at either Block A (portaloos) or those under Block G if you do not require access to bars to lessen numbers in access routes to/from bars.

If staff feel the Members’ Bar or Phoenix Bars are full, no further fans can be accommodated. Please respect this.

FIRE HAZARDS

No flags and banners can be hung at the back of the Jodi Stand behind block F&G due to risk of fire if flares are ignited.

The preference is for flags to be hung on the Tramway End but fire retardant flags are permitted behind blocks A-D.

Fan displays at the start of the game/when the team comes out must take place in front of the stand, by the side of the pitch, and not in the stand itself.

Any supporter found in possession of a flare or similar pyrotechnics will be denied entry to/removed from the ground and faces being banned by the board of management.

MISSILES/PITCH INVASIONS

Anyone caught throwing missiles will be ejected from the stadium and faces being banned from all further Bohemians games.

Similarly, anyone who encroaches on to the pitch will be ejected and could face prosecution.

ACCESS TO DALYMOUNT LANE – ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID CONGESTION… AND TO MAKE KICK-OFF!

Access to Dalymount Lane is under strict control from now on and supervision of stewards and, for higher category games, the Gardai.

The access procedures in operation for games v Shamrock Rovers will now extend to all home fixtures.

  • Match ticket holders (+ cash sales for lesser fixtures) must access Dalymount Lane via St Peter’s Road.
  • Members and season ticket holders (you must present a 2019 card) access Dalymount Lane via North Circular Road.
  • Junior Gypsies must be accompanied by an adult in the possession of a match ticket/membership/season ticket.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY – MEMBERS’ BAR OPENS 5pm

  • Early access from 5pm is as usual via Players and Officials entrance (door near reception area and gents toilets).
  • All other turnstiles open 6pm.
  • We cannot guarantee late admittance to the ground after 7.45pm.
  • We advise against arriving any later than 7.20pm.

We do not wish to see any members or ticket holders miss out, so we appeal to you to once again assist us – as you have done – in reducing the chances of crowd congestion by arriving as early as possible.

THANKS

We as a board are also supporters and are all volunteers and understand that some of the above is unpalatable.

But collectively as a fan-owned club, a level of self-policing is required.

We have a duty of care to ensure the safety of all those who attend our games.

Please assist us by continuing to cooperate with our stewards with respect, arriving early, and by occupying areas of the Jodi Stand less crowded.
