At 2pm, Saturday January 28th at Dalymount Park, Bohemian FC will host a talk on the life of Harold Sloan and the experiences of some of the dozens of former Bohemians during the First World War.
Speaking at the event will be noted historian Pádraig Yeates, who has written extensively on the history of Dublin, including definitive works on the 1913 Lock-out and Dublin during wartime, Ciaran Priestley, a Bohemian FC member whose original research has brought the memory of Sloan back to the consciousness of Bohemian supporters today and Gerard Farrell, who has researched the war experiences of a number of other prominent Bohemians from history.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A and light refreshments. It is free of charge, although attendees are asked to consider making a contribution to the Bohemian Foundation.
