Bohemians are delighted to announce the appointment of Dave Henderson as the club’s new Head of Recruitment.
Cabra man Henderson, 56, has a long association with Bohs.
He was the Gypsies’ goalkeeper between 1992 and 1998 and was part of Pat Fenlon’s backroom team between 2008 and 2011, serving as chief scout and later as goalkeeping coach.
Most recently, Henderson was chief scout at Shamrock Rovers and has previously served on the backroom teams of Shelbourne and Hibernian.
During Henderson’s last stint at Dalymount Park, he was responsible for signing players who went on to further their careers abroad, such as Paddy Madden and Matt Doherty, or become established members of the Bohemians first team, including Roberto Lopes and Keith Buckley.
Bohs manager Keith Long said: “Since I came to the club, I’ve been looking to bring in someone of the ilk of Dave Henderson.
“He has a proven track record with spotting talent and potential in young players.
“I’m delighted we’ve got him on board. He will prove to be an invaluable asset as we look to build our squads.”
