We are sorry to have to ask members to pay in to the two mid-season friendlies—last Saturday v. Portsmouth and this Saturday v Newcastle United (note 2pm kick-off)—and also for any confusion or embarrassment this may have caused at the Members’ Stile.
It is not the first time we have asked members to pay in to a friendly, but we sincerely apologise for not communicating this to you in a more timely fashion.
We can assure you that the committee is keenly aware of the sacrifices the members continue to make and is ever grateful for your efforts. Such decisions are certainly not taken lightly.
These are indeed important fundraising events for your Club but, as is the case with cup games, the gate receipts are shared. We believe that the success of such matches is vital in putting your Bohemian Football Club on as firm a footing as possible.
