Ford, proud sponsors of the FAI Cup, are calling on supporters to vote on the Greatest FAI Cup final. A shortlist of the top-10 finals has been drawn up and fans can pick their favourite at facebook.com/fordireland.
The shortlisted matches, which were compiled with help from the Irish media, include 10 cup classics, each with their own story to tell.
Two victorious Bohs cup finals – 1935 and 2008 – feature in the shortlist. The 1935 final was a seven-goal thriller against Dundalk, with the Gypsies coming away winners in the joint highest-scoring final to date.
Also included is our most recent final, the penalty shootout against Derry City in 2008, when Mindaugas Kalonas (pictured) slotted home the winning spot-kick after a classic 2-2 draw at the RDS.

Ford, now into their seventh year as sponsor of Ireland’s most prestigious domestic football cup competition, also share a deep heritage with the famous trophy, as a team from the company won the 1926 final under the banner of Fordsons.
Bohemians fans can vote for their favourite final at facebook.com/fordireland and the winning game will be announced ahead of this year’s final. All fans who vote will automatically be entered into a draw for fuel vouchers and a HD 3DTV.
