U19s and U15 reach semi-finals

Our U19 and U15s teams progressed to the semi-finals of their leagues yesterday with hard-fought at home to Waterford and Limerick respectively.

At IT Blanchardstown, Craig Sexton’s Bohemians U19s went behind three times but battled back to earn a 4-3 victory with Cristian Magerusan, Jamie Hamilton (penalty), Ali Reghba and Cian McMullen on target for the Gypsies. They will host UCD in the semi-final. Date TBC.

At Shanowen Road, Ger Browne’s Bohs-SKB U15s were 2-1 winners against Limerick with Gavin O’Brien and Opey Owalabi on target. They will host Bray in their semi-final. Date TBC.

There was no such luck for Jimmy Mowlds’ Bohs-SKB U17s on Saturday. Having gone through their division unbeaten, they came up agonisingly short against Galway United.

The visitors made it 2-2 in injury-time at St Aidan’s in a game where Bohs-SKB will feel they should have had the result wrapped up at half-time. Extra-time couldn’t separate the sides but Galway prevailed in the penalty shootout.
