Manager Keith Long has appointed Chris Bennion as the club’s new goalkeeping coach.

The Scot, 37, had a distinguished League of Ireland career most notably with Dundalk, Shelbourne and Longford Town.

He was most recently goalkeeping coach at Drogheda United.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Colin McCabe has signed a new one-year deal to remain at Bohemians.

The Cavan man, 20, joined in August from Celtic as understudy to Shane Supple following a hand injury to Greg Murray.

He made his league debut in the final game of the season, helping Bohs to a 3-1 win over Finn Harps.

McCabe re-signing brings to 18 the number of players under contract at Bohemians for next season: Oscar Brennan, Dan Byrne, Dan Casey, Dinny Corcoran, Rob Cornwall, Jamie Hamilton, Paddy Kavanagh, Paddy Kirk, JJ Lunney, Cristian Magerusan, Colin McCabe, Eoghan Morgan, Derek Pender, Fuad Sule, Shane Supple, Warren O’Hora, Keith Ward, John Ross Wilson.
