U14: Bohemians 4 Corduff FC 1

Bohs secured a fantastic win over Corduff today. Bohs took the lead with goals from Jamie Clowry, a Kamil Schlass free-kick and a spectacular Sean Smith shot from his own half. Corduff pulled one back, but Kamil Schlass scored his second to re-establish Bohs’ three-goal lead.

Bohs worked very well defensively, with Ryan Lynch organising his defence very well. Bohs stability was helped with some great work by their full-backs Shane McDermott and Sam Hegany allowing the wingers to attack with confidence. Bohs had been working on their defensive shape recently, with the midfield trio of Sean Smith, Gianpiero Fragnoli and Conor Hynes impressing.

U12: Bohemians 7 Artane/Beaumont 4

This was an end-to-end game played in Albert College. Artane went 3-0 up in first few minutes. However, Bohs’ determination and team spirit showed as they brought the game back to 3-3 then to 7-3 before the visitors scored a consolation goal.

One particular goal impressed after a great pass from Cathal Byrne to Padhraig Doran, who made a great run down the right flank, and instead of shooting he made a well-judged pass to Lee Gorman who scored.

The team had been working on their passing and movement in training recently, and it showed with some great work by Jamie Doe, moving the ball forward and back, dictating the play by moving the opposition out of position and creating space for his team-mates.

The coach commented that he was thrilled “with the team’s determination and team spirit to come from behind”, and was particularly impressed by the work-rate of Jonathan Finn and Jimmy Cripps.

U12: Bohemians 3 St John Vianny 5

Bohs and St John;s played out an exciting, end-to-end game. Bohs competed very well, with Padhraig Doran creating numerous chances for the team.

Bohs scored three goals, with Michael Meehan scoring two and Cathal Byrne also getting on the scoresheet. The team worked very well together with the concentration that they have given to their passing and movement showing. Bohs were unfortunate to concede so many goals with the coach and team concentrating on the improvement in the team and playing in a similar attacking way as the senior team.

U19: Newbridge Town 2 Bohemians 3
