OWEN HEARY TRIBUTE GAME/DINNER

Bohemians v Derry City - Ford FAI Cup Final 2008

BOHEMIANS LEGENDS XI v SHELBOURNE LEGENDS XI (Sunday November 17th, Dalymount Park, 3pm)

Over 100 league medals’ worth of talent will be on display at Dalymount Park on Sunday November 17th when a Bohemians Legends XI host a Shelbourne Legends XI in a tribute game in honour of Owen Heary, who last week played his final game of a glittering 21-season League of Ireland career.

Heary spent nine seasons at Tolka Park before making the short trip to Dalymount Park in January 2007 to sign for the club he supported as a boy.

His haul of seven league titles – five with Shels and two with Bohs – is a record he jointly holds with Johnny Matthews. He also won the FAI Cup twice, the Setanta Sports Cup and the EA Sports Cup.

Hibs manager Pat Fenlon – also a trophy-laden legend at both clubs – will take charge of the Bohs XI, while Dermot Keely – a 10-time league winner as a player and manager – will take the Shels hotseat again for one game only.
